Mitigating the Impacts of HIV - A Buddhist Approach

Many people ask what does Buddhism have to do with HIV and AIDS.

Buddhism teaches about suffering.   It teaches the cause of suffering, the cessation of suffering and the path leading to the cessation.

By recognizing that HIV is a form of suffering, we can identify the cause, the cessation and the way to bring an end to the suffering related to HIV and AIDS.  Buddhism cannot destroy the virus, but it can bring an end to the suffering and help those infected with HIV, their families and communities live a happy, peaceful life with the virus.
